Working Hard

He was able to send me this nice picture this morning. This is a picture of him in the machine shop. I love that he is wearing safety glasses. I'm hoping for more pictures. I think he will be reaching their next port.

First Port Visit: Yokosuka, Japan

The ship reached Yokosuka yesterday. He got off the ship somewhat late due to work. He enjoyed a nice dinner before returning to the ship. He did get to take some pictures of Yokosuka. Tomorrow he plans on taking the train to Tokyo. Hopefully he will get to send me some pictures to post. I can hardly wait to see his pictures. According to him, I would love Japan since there's a noodle shop and a boutique on every corner. (har har)

Happy Birthday Sailor!

He turns 25 yrs old today. We celebrated it last week while he was still on land. Nothing big, nothing fancy. Just the two of us, a surf and turf dinner then ice cream cake at home.
We had plenty of leftover cake. It is cookies 'n cream Baskin Robbins ice cream on top of chocolate cake. Boy was it yummy.

Thank you to everyone that texted and called to wish him a Happy Birthday. He really appreciates it. I was hoping to post pictures of the morning that he left, but unfortunately I only got to take a couple of pictures at the house and nothing on the base since it was hectic and crowded there.

He should be hitting his first port soon. Hopefully he will be able to send some pictures so I can post them here. :)
